I interviewed my mother on several occasions between 1987 and 1982 before her memory began to fail.
She thoroughly enjoyed the sessions but would tire every few minutes and stop suddenly. I would shut off the recorder only to have her start speaking without any warning. Where possible, I have tried to fill in the resulting gaps.
