My name is Leonard Morgenstern. I am a retired pathologist who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

About 20 years ago, I persuaded my mother and my father-in-law to talk to a tape recorder so that our family could learn from their experiences. Later, I interviewed other relatives. As you can see, some of them were very articulate.

I hope this site will encourage you to capture the memories of your elders. It's easy. Hold up a microphone and ask leading questions. You will learn a lot about their history—and your own, too. And don't forget yourself. You may think you don't have much to say, but you will be surprised.

This is a family site, not a genealogical one, although there is of course some genealogy in it. I hope you will find it interesting.

(The site is undergoing reconstruction, and not all links are established.)
